Rev. Leslie A. Stewart Bio
Leslie is the Chaplain for North Texas Veteran’s Court, the first regional veteran’s court in the nation. She served 6 years enlisted in Air Force Special Operations Command. She was awarded Airman of the Year for the 1st Special Operations Wing and was selected for a commissioning program. She went to pilot training and served as an Aerospace Physiologist and Human Factors expert for F-16 units. She was ordained in 2014 and began as a church planter in 2016, starting Resurrection Episcopal Church in Plano, TX. Deacon Jennifer graduated from medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 1998, and she currently works as a pediatric radiologist at Medical City Hospital in Dallas. After hearing a call to ordained ministry, she spent the last four years in theology classes at the Stanton Center for Ministry, preparing for ministry as a deacon in the Episcopal Church. During this time, Jennifer also served in pastoral care ministry, including work as a chaplain in a local hospital.
Her husband, Matthew, is a talented musician, and is often volunteering in some part of Resurrection's music ministry. During the week, however, Matthew is a physician, working predominantly as a hospital administrator for Baylor Scott & White Health. Trainer: Nicholas Gray
Nicholas is a trainer at Mind & Body Fitness in Mckinney and is Warrior Church's personal trainer. He was led to Warrior Church due to his own experience with PTSD. He believes the best health is achieved through the mind, body and spiritual connection. |
